About the role#
TRUMPF is seeking a TruServices Order Management Intern to support our sales team with order processing, sales administration, and process improvement projects. This position offers hands-on experience with the sales order lifecycle from initial receipt through final completion. You will work on projects aimed at increasing the efficiency and accuracy of our internal processes.
What you'll do#
- Review incoming orders for accuracy and maintain order data.
- Identify process issues and help develop recommendations to improve order accuracy and speed.
- Create process maps, checklists, and work instructions to document procedures.
- Track process issues to identify trends and common causes of delays.
- Develop tools, reports, and spreadsheets to improve order visibility.
- Support projects that strengthen communication between the Sales and Order Management teams.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an undergraduate degree program in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, or Industrial Engineering.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Analytical abilities and experience solving problems.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to manage large amounts of information accurately.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Location & details#
- Location: Farmington, Connecticut.
- Term: Winter 2027 through Summer 2027.
- Commitment: Full-time, at least 32 hours per week.
- Modality: On-site.
- Compensation: This is a paid internship.
