About the role#
This position is for students planning to enroll in a Certified John Deere Ag Tech Program. You will participate in a two-year associate degree program while gaining hands-on experience at our dealership. The role combines classroom learning with on-the-job training to prepare you for a career as a service technician.
What you'll do#
- Complete two years of instructor-led classroom and lab training at a John Deere Tech School.
- Assist senior technicians with basic service tasks and learn how the service department operates.
- Perform pre-delivery set-up and inspection of new equipment.
- Obtain certifications in Electrical, Hydraulics, and Service ADVISOR training.
- Document diagnostics and repairs on work orders.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work area while following all safety regulations.
What you'll need#
- Plans to attend a Certified John Deere Ag Tech Program at a participating college.
- Willingness to work in a team environment and learn quickly from senior technicians.
- Coursework or experience in electrical or mechanical systems is preferred.
- Ability to perform basic service tasks and complete required John Deere University credits.
