About the role#
Trojan Battery Company is seeking a Logistics Intern to support transportation, supply chain, and international trade activities. This role provides hands-on experience in domestic and international shipping, freight management, customs documentation, and process improvement. You will work directly with the Director of Logistics to support global operations.
What you'll do#
- Track domestic and international shipments.
- Coordinate shipments with carriers and freight forwarders.
- Review and verify the accuracy of shipping documents, including commercial invoices, packing lists, and customs paperwork.
- Update shipment information and maintain logistics records.
- Assist with freight reporting and transportation metrics using Microsoft Excel.
- Support freight invoice review and issue resolution.
- Learn basic HTS classifications, Country of Origin, and trade compliance requirements.
- Assist with trade compliance projects, audits, and documentation requests from customs brokers.
- Help update logistics procedures and work instructions while assisting with process improvement initiatives.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, International Trade, or a related field.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Eagerness to learn and take on new challenges.
- Previous internship or logistics experience is a plus.
Location & details#
- Work Modality: Remote within the United States.
- Duration: 6 months.
- Schedule: 25 hours per week, Monday through Friday during daytime business hours.
- Status: Paid internship.
