About the role#
This internship provides exposure to both field and office operations at Trio Electric. The program lasts 10 to 12 weeks, depending on your school schedule. You will work alongside project managers to help keep construction projects on track. This role is fully on-site in Houston, Texas. You will spend about 70 percent of your time at job sites.
What you'll do#
- Support data, communications, and approvals between owners, contractors, and other project entities.
- Maintain document control systems and project procedures.
- Attend project meetings to document and track information.
- Track contractor and subcontractor requirements, including safety, performance, and equipment.
- Assist with project closeout procedures.
- Support multiple projects at the same time.
What you'll need#
- Ability to work at a job site and travel to various project locations.
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple teams and projects.
- Basic understanding of the construction life cycle.
- Ability to communicate effectively with diverse groups of people.
- Pursuing a degree in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or Environmental Engineering, Business Administration, Architecture, or Operations Management.
