About the role#
This internship focuses on the planning, design, and documentation of facility layouts and manufacturing lines. You will create 2D and 3D drawings for production areas, equipment placement, and utility connections. You will work with engineering, manufacturing, and maintenance teams to ensure all designs meet operational requirements and safety standards.
What you'll do#
- Create and revise CAD drawings for facility layouts, production lines, and support systems.
- Develop detailed plans for manufacturing line setups, including dimensions, clearances, and utility connections.
- Maintain drawing standards, document control, and revision history.
- Collaborate with engineers and operations teams to incorporate process improvements.
- Support installation and startup activities by providing accurate technical drawings.
- Verify drawings against site measurements, equipment specifications, and project requirements.
What you'll need#
- Pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering or Industrial Engineering.
- At least 2 years of experience using computer aided design solutions.
- Proficiency in SolidWorks, Creo, Inventor, or AutoCAD.
Location & details#
- This role is based in Jacksonville, Florida.
- The position follows a hybrid schedule, with onsite work from Monday to Thursday and flexible work locations on Fridays.
- This is a paid, part-time internship.
