About the role#
This 12-week summer internship offers hands-on experience in construction project management. You will work alongside project managers to execute objectives within specific time frames and resource limits. The program is designed to develop your technical, business, and leadership skills while providing insight into building efficiency and sustainability solutions.
What you'll do#
- Plan and coordinate assigned projects by establishing schedules, project parameters, and procedures.
- Work with the engineering team to support programming and material selection.
- Assist in establishing and maintaining operations budgets by monitoring forecasted costs and managing expenses.
- Collaborate on preparations for sub-contractor requests for quotations, including scope statements and billing schedules.
- Communicate with contractors, subcontractors, and owners regarding project scope, budgets, and performance.
What you'll need#
- Active enrollment in a bachelor’s or master’s degree program in Mechanical, Civil, or Industrial Engineering for the duration of the summer.
- Completion of at least your sophomore year before the internship begins.
- Demonstrated knowledge of construction management processes, means, and methods.
- A valid driver’s license held for at least 12 months with no major traffic violations in the past 3 years.
- Legal right to work in the United States without sponsorship.
