About the role#
We are looking for a Node.js developer to join our team for a Summer 2027 internship. You will help us improve the functionality, scalability, and user experience of our trading platform. We are currently building event-driven microservices to support new trading applications. This is a full-time, paid, on-site role based in Jersey City, New Jersey.
What you'll do#
- Design, implement, and optimize our trading platform to deliver new products and drive revenue.
- Work alongside technologists and business experts to gain practical experience.
- Coordinate with international development teams on engineering and architecture.
- Liaise with product managers, designers, QA, and dev ops teams.
- Explore how AI and emerging technologies can be applied within your business area.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering.
- A solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, object-oriented programming, and common design patterns.
- Proficiency with asynchronous programming, concurrency, and event-driven application patterns.
- Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.
- An interest in backend systems, distributed systems, financial technology, or real-time applications.
- Previous experience through internships, academic projects, hackathons, or personal software development.
- A desire to master new technologies and learn the business of electronic fixed income trading.
