About the role#
This internship is based on the C++ Core Services team. This group builds the core services and libraries that support the next generation of trading platforms across various fixed income asset classes. You will work on mission critical, high-performance systems and gain practical experience by contributing to products and services used by the firm.
What you'll do#
- Build container-based microservices for the core infrastructure.
- Optimize matching algorithms.
- Overhaul trading applications using principles from distributed systems, high-performance computing, and multithreading.
- Explore how AI and emerging technologies can be applied within the business.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of an undergraduate or master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
- A strong interest in C++ development.
- Understanding of Object-Oriented Programming and modern C++ techniques.
- Familiarity with Python, Typescript, or Bash scripting.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to communicate with both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Interest in learning about financial markets and technology.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team, with a focus on owning issues through to completion.
