About the role#
The Distribution Center Operations Internship is an 11-week program based in Waverly, Nebraska. This role is designed for students building a career in supply chain and operations leadership. You will work on-site, gaining hands-on experience in a distribution environment while learning how we support our stores and customers. You will work alongside experienced leaders to understand daily operations, including inbound and outbound flow, inventory, and safety standards.
What you'll do#
- Gain hands-on experience across distribution operations while learning about product flow, productivity, quality, and safety.
- Partner with distribution leaders and team members to support daily operational priorities and performance goals.
- Analyze operational challenges, identify areas for improvement, and recommend solutions to support business performance.
- Contribute to projects focused on improving operational efficiency, quality, productivity, and safety.
- Develop leadership skills by communicating expectations and building relationships within the team.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Operations Management, Business Administration, Management, or a related field.
- Demonstrated leadership experience through previous employment, internships, campus organizations, or extracurricular activities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to relocate to and reside in the Waverly, NE area for the duration of the internship.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
