About the role#
This internship provides experience in professional sales within the retail apparel industry. You will work with the Tom James Company to help busy professionals access custom-made clothing. The role focuses on developing prospecting and phone skills that apply to any sales career. You will work 8 hours per week with a team of local and national interns, supported by sales mentors.
What you'll do#
- Book appointments with qualified leads over the phone.
- Use prospecting tools to find and enhance selling opportunities.
- Learn the fundamentals of a professional sales process.
- Collaborate with peers and attend mentorship sessions.
- Participate in corporate training via Zoom and small group calls.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment at the University of Alabama with a graduation date by Summer 2027.
- Ability to attend two in-person workshops on campus and weekly Friday live Zoom sessions.
- A strong work ethic and willingness to step out of your comfort zone.
- A growth mindset and a competitive spirit.
- Comfort working in an environment with high accountability.

- Location: Tuscaloosa, Alabama.
- Term: Winter 2027 (January 19th through March 12th).
- Modality: Hybrid.
- Compensation: $15 per hour.
