About the role#
This is a voluntary vocational internship program at the Tinker Federal Credit Union branch located at Metro Technology Centers. It provides students with hands-on experience in a financial services environment. This program is for the Summer 2026 term and is unpaid. Participants may receive class credit for their work and may be considered for future permanent employment based on performance.
What you'll do#
- Perform basic member service and teller functions.
- Assist the site supervisor with daily branch operations.
- Learn about the purpose of financial institutions and TFCU operations.
- Practice professional skills in a real work setting.
- Handle basic transactions for students, teachers, and members.
- Learn to use internal systems and maintain confidentiality.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a student at Metro Technology Centers, specifically the Springlake campus.
- Prior discussion with the Branch Supervisor or Manager at the Springlake TFCU location.
- Ability to maintain regular and punctual class attendance.
- Dedication to learning financial and non-financial transactions.
- Willingness to engage with supervisors and classmates.
- Ability to maintain compliance with BSA and OFAC regulations.
- Must meet bonding requirements as determined by TFCU.
- Preference for students studying Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or Human Resources.
