About the role#
This Reliability Engineering Co-Op position is based in Mississauga, Ontario. You will work with the Reliability Engineering team to build a Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) culture. The goal is to improve equipment performance and shift the maintenance group toward a proactive approach. This is a full-time, paid, on-site role.
What you'll do#
- Develop and report on Reliability and Equipment Maintenance KPIs.
- Support work execution management, including MRO spares, PM optimization, Bill of Materials, and CMMS readiness.
- Build and implement maintenance optimization reviews for asset criticality and duty cycles.
- Establish maintenance activities to detect functional failures early, such as vibration analysis or IR thermography.
- Support PPI and Reliability Engineering projects.
- Develop tools for asset criticality and spare parts ranking.
- Maintain an online database for project documentation.
- Provide administrative and physical support for site audits, equipment failure tracking, and change controls.
What you'll need#
- You are an undergraduate student completing a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a trades program. A Mechanical focus is preferred.
- You must be legally authorized to work in Canada without sponsorship.
- Proven leadership experience through student organizations, athletics, or community service.
- A track record of influencing others and driving results.
- Ability to solve complex problems and adapt to changing priorities.
- Strong communication skills and emotional intelligence.
- Geographic mobility and flexibility.
- Previous internship or work experience is preferred.

- Compensation: $24.00 - $25.00 per hour, depending on academic year.
