About the role#
This co-op position is based in Mississauga, Ontario, and is designed to build a pipeline for future leadership roles within the organization. You will work on-site, supporting the maintenance department through data analysis, process improvement, and operational support. This is a full-time, paid role with a focus on professional development and hands-on experience.
What you'll do#
- Draft project plans and reports for departmental initiatives.
- Compile data, interview personnel, and observe operations to identify solutions.
- Maintain and track key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics.
- Review and revise Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Generate weekly dashboards, visualizations, and reports, including OEE and Maximo data.
- Lead Continuous Huddles and facilitate monthly meetings for the Maintenance Leadership team.
- Recommend data-driven strategies for operational improvements.
- Identify opportunities for technology adoption and automation.
- Participate in Team Kaizens and implement 5S processes.
- Support departmental teams while maintaining a safe working environment.
- Conduct monthly 1:1 meetings with your manager for personal development.
What you'll need#
- You are currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related technical field, with an expected graduation date between December 2027 and June 2029.
- Previous internship or work experience is preferred.
- You have demonstrated leadership through student organizations, athletics, volunteer work, or other community roles.
- You can influence others, lead initiatives, and drive results.
- You possess the ability to navigate ambiguity and solve complex problems.
- You show grit, resilience, and curiosity.
- You have strong interpersonal communication skills and emotional intelligence.
- You are legally authorized to work in Canada without the need for sponsorship.
- You are comfortable with geographic mobility and flexibility.

- Compensation: $24.00 - $25.00 per hour, depending on academic year.
