About the role#
This co-op position offers a path for students to build experience in laboratory operations. You will work within our analytical teams to support the testing of prototype, clinical trial, and commercial batches. We look for students who demonstrate leadership potential and performance, as this program serves as a pipeline for future full-time roles.
What you'll do#
- Perform HPLC, dissolution, and physical testing following established methods and SOPs.
- Document all experimental data according to ALCOA principles.
- Use software including Empower, NuGenesis, Microsoft Word, and Excel for testing and communication.
- Troubleshoot basic system suitability failures and report unexpected or out of specification results.
- Assist with laboratory investigations under the direction of a supervisor.
- Maintain safety standards, including GMP and Environmental Health and Safety practices.
- Support team workflows and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Work rotating shifts as required.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an undergraduate Chemistry degree program with an expected graduation date between December 2027 and June 2029.
- Previous internship or work experience is preferred.
- Demonstrated leadership through athletics, volunteer work, student organizations, or other community roles.
- Ability to solve complex problems and adapt to changing priorities.
- Strong communication skills and emotional intelligence.
- Grit and resilience when facing challenges.
- Legal authorization to work in Canada without the need for sponsorship.

- Compensation: $24.00 to $25.00 per hour, depending on your academic year.
