About the role#
The Weitz Company offers internships for students pursuing degrees in Civil, Mechanical, Environmental, or Industrial Engineering, as well as Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, and Architecture. These positions provide hands-on experience on project sites or in local offices across the United States. Internships are paid and full-time, with a rolling term. Successful performance may lead to full-time job offers upon graduation.
What you'll do#
Interns assist with daily operations while working alongside experienced professionals. You will participate in various functional areas, including:
- Estimating and Preconstruction
- Field Engineering
- Project Engineering
- Supply Chain
- Safety
- Design
- Virtual Design and Construction (VDC)
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a four-year degree program.
- A basic understanding of construction.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook.
- Ability to learn industry-specific software such as Asta, Procore, and Bluebeam.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, organizational, and time management skills.
- Note that visa sponsorship is not available for these positions.
