About the role#
This internship supports the Accessories team with project development, category management, and the Online Product Approvals (OPA) system. You will work across various categories including bags, footwear, headwear, hosiery, jewelry, timing, and vision. You will report to the Senior Manager of Product Design.
What you'll do#
- Develop and design product mock-ups.
- Create and manage templates for design point of view boards.
- Gather images and layout creative presentations and trend boards.
- Collaborate with managers to design, approve, and review products and packaging.
- Research seasonal trends and monitor competitor product innovation.
- Assist in pulling art direction and assets for collaborations.
- Manage and organize product samples.
- Handle a high volume of packaging approvals.
- Present team decks at creative rollouts.
- Prioritize multiple design projects under strict deadlines.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an accredited college or university pursuing a degree in Graphic Design or a related field.
- Demonstrated product design skills, including technical design, sketching, and CAD.
- Prior coursework or experience in Softlines categories.
- Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Keynote, Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Strong presentation skills and the ability to communicate ideas clearly.
- Receptive to constructive feedback and effective under pressure.
- Portfolio review is required, specifically emphasizing trend boards and jewelry design.
- At least 18 years of age with unrestricted work authorization.
- Preferred: Experience in jewelry design and silversmithing.
Location & details#
- Location: Glendale, California.
- Term: Winter 2027 (January 11, 2027, through June 4, 2027).
- Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday.
- Modality: On-site in Glendale Monday through Thursday, with remote work on Fridays.
- Compensation: This is a paid internship at $23.00 per hour.
