About the role#
The Walsh Group offers a co-op program in the Chicago area designed to prepare students for leadership roles in construction. You will rotate through multiple work terms to gain experience across different divisions. This program is structured to blend your academic studies with hands-on work, and it aims to train you for a full-time position after graduation.
What you'll do#
- Assist project managers and field supervision staff with daily project coordination.
- Estimate costs for change orders.
- Solicit bidders and coordinate the work of subcontractors.
- Manage the scheduling of contracts and materials.
- Write RFIs and submittals.
- Participate in team meetings and support safety management.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a cooperative education program at a college or university is preferred.
- Pursuit of a bachelor’s degree in Civil, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering is preferred.
- Ability to commit to a 12-week work schedule.
