About the role#
The Sales & Marketing Intern provides administrative support to the Director of Sales and Marketing and the broader sales team at The Pierre New York. This role assists with daily office operations, client correspondence, and database maintenance. You will gain experience in hotel sales processes while supporting the team with scheduling, collateral management, and project coordination.
What you'll do#
- Support the Director of Sales and Marketing and the sales team with daily office tasks.
- Assist with proposals, contracts, presentations, and sales calls.
- Coordinate site inspections, including walk-ins when necessary.
- Respond to customer inquiries and route communications to the appropriate manager.
- Prepare monthly reports for review by the Director of Sales and Marketing.
- Help organize sales appointments, holiday gifting, and company functions.
- Assist with campaign preparation, activations, and photoshoot supervision.
- Maintain sales collateral, including brochures and giveaways.
- Create PowerPoint presentations and manage spreadsheets.
- Coordinate travel and sales itineraries.
- Qualify incoming sales leads and record minutes for weekly sales meetings.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a college or university program where the internship provides course credit.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proficiency with computers and the Microsoft suite.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Effective time management and problem-solving abilities.
- A concentration in hospitality is a plus.
- Ability to sit at a desk for long periods and lift up to 15 pounds.
