    About the role#

    The IDEAS Fellow supports the People and Culture team at The Philadelphia Orchestra and Ensemble Arts. You will work on projects related to Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, and Access Strategies. This role offers exposure to nonprofit leadership, arts administration, and organizational strategy. You will collaborate with staff, musicians, and community partners while gaining hands-on experience in a professional office environment.

    What you'll do#

    • Support IDEAS projects and activities across the organization.
    • Coordinate and staff IDEAS-related meetings, committees, and programs.
    • Provide administrative support including scheduling meetings and organizing materials.
    • Assist with basic tracking of budgets, expenses, and invoices.
    • Conduct research, benchmarking, and basic data analysis to support decision-making.
    • Help draft and proofread presentations, reports, and communication materials.

    What you'll need#

    • Current enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate program.
    • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
    • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
    • Ability to work collaboratively across different departments and levels of the organization.
    • Majors in Business Administration, Communications, Human Resources, Sociology, or Political Science are relevant to this work.

    Location & details#

    • Location: Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
    • Work modality: On-site.
    • Schedule: Approximately 20 to 25 hours per week with a flexible schedule to support meetings and events.
    • Compensation: This is an unpaid fellowship.
