About the role#
The Elementary Kids Team Leader provides leadership and administrative support for the Children's Summer Sunday program for Grades 1-5. This role focuses on creating engaging experiences for children to grow in their faith and develop social skills. The position involves working with children, parents, volunteers, and staff in a collaborative environment.
What you'll do#
- Plan, organize, and execute Sunday programming for Grades 1-5, including leading large and small group teaching sessions.
- Provide leadership and mentorship to volunteer teachers.
- Offer administrative support, including curriculum preparation and development.
- Support children with special needs to ensure an inclusive environment.
- Assist in leading at Jr. Youth Premix, Jr. Youth Camp, Sr. Youth Remix, and Sr. Youth Camp.
- Support all NextGen summer events and perform other duties as assigned by the Children's Pastor.
What you'll need#
- A deep and growing personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
- Previous experience working with children.
- Minimum age of 18 years and completion of high school.
- Strong leadership, administrative, interpersonal, and time management skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- First Aid and CPR training is preferred.
- Ability to pass a Vulnerable Sector Check.
Location & details#
- Location: Toronto, Ontario.
- Term: Summer 2026 (July 13, 2026, to August 30, 2026).
- Work Modality: On-site, full-time (40 hours per week).
- Schedule: Includes Sundays, weekdays, evenings, and overnight camps as required.
- Compensation: $20 per hour.
