Summer Intern - Preschool/Kindergarten Kids Team Leader

About the role#

The Preschool/Kindergarten Kids Team Leader provides leadership and administrative support for the Children’s Summer Sunday programs, serving children from newborn to senior kindergarten. This role involves creating engaging experiences for children to grow in their faith and develop social skills. The position is a full-time, 8-week summer internship running from July 13 to August 30, 2026.

What you'll do#

• Plan, organize, and execute Sunday programming for preschool and kindergarten groups.
• Provide leadership and mentorship to volunteer teachers.
• Lead large and small group Sunday teaching sessions.
• Adapt and prepare age-appropriate Bible curriculum.
• Support children with special needs and assist with all NextGen summer events.
• Provide administrative support and assist with general childcare duties.
• Participate in overnight youth camps and events as required.

What you'll need#

• A deep and growing personal faith in Jesus Christ.
• Experience working with children.
• Strong leadership, administrative, interpersonal, and time management skills.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
• Minimum age of 18 with high school completion.
• First Aid/CPR training is preferred.
• Ability to pass a Vulnerable Sector Check.
• Must be available for scheduled overnight events, including Premix and Youth Camps.

Location & details#

• Location: Toronto, Ontario.
• Work Modality: On-site.
• Compensation: $20/hour for 40 hours per week.
• Schedule: Sundays, weekdays, evenings, and overnight camps as required.
