About the role#
The Corporate Actions team at The Options Clearing Corporation (OCC) is looking for a year-round intern to join their team in Dallas. This 12-month program runs from January through December. You will work up to 20 hours per week during the school year and up to 40 hours per week during the summer, with a total cap of 1,000 hours. This role offers exposure to the operational side of financial markets, including trade processing and corporate action research, while supporting large-scale system transitions.
What you'll do#
- Support the transition from the ENCORE system to Ovation and assist with Day 2 project initiatives.
- Create job aids, procedures, and training materials.
- Participate in User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
- Prepare audit evidence and execute controls related to basic processing.
- Assist with management self-testing and review departmental control procedures.
- Support production operations, including exchange option listings, trade processing, and corporate action research.
- Gain exposure to process improvement activities and industry initiatives.
What you'll need#
- Current status as a rising senior or second-year graduate student.
- Expected graduation date in December 2027 or May/August 2028.
- Pursuing a degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Communications, or a related field.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications.
- A genuine interest in the financial markets.
Location & details#
- Location: Dallas, Texas.
- Work Modality: Hybrid. Employees are expected to be in the office at least 3 days per week, with Tuesday and Wednesday as mandatory anchor days.
- Compensation: $25.00 per hour.
- Employment Status: Part-time, paid internship.
- Note: This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship.
