About the role#
The Diversity, Equity and Inclusion team at The Options Clearing Corporation (OCC) builds and sustains a workplace where all colleagues can contribute their best. As a summer intern, you will support the team across community impact, communications, and employee network groups. You will also lead a process improvement project to document team workflows and identify ways to reduce manual effort.
What you'll do#
- Document current DEI team workflows to identify opportunities to reduce manual effort.
- Provide administrative and engagement support to one or more Employee Networking Groups.
- Assist with content development for inclusive storytelling campaigns.
- Support nonprofit partnership or community impact initiatives.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as an undergraduate or graduate student at a college or university.
- Interest in Diversity, Equity & Inclusion.
- Curiosity about how corporate processes work.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Comfort navigating ambiguity and asking clarifying questions.
- Preferred majors include Communications, Marketing, Business Administration, Political Science, or Sociology.
Location & details#
- This is a full-time, paid internship for Summer 2027.
- The role is based in Chicago, Illinois.
- This position follows a hybrid work model, requiring at least three days per week in the office. Tuesday and Wednesday are mandatory anchor days.
