About the role#
The Options Clearing Corporation (OCC) offers a 12-week summer internship for law students within our Legal department. You will work across various teams, engaging with regulatory, commercial, litigation, and corporate governance matters. This full-time position provides exposure to the legal operations of a systemically important financial market utility.
What you'll do#
- Perform legal research, analysis, and writing.
- Assist attorneys with ad hoc projects and support ongoing legal processes.
- Help provide legal advice to internal stakeholders.
- Create presentations to support department collaboration and education.
What you'll need#
- Completion of one or two years of law school.
- Status as a rising 2nd-year or rising 3rd-year law student.
- An undergraduate BA or BS degree.
Location & details#
- This role is based in Chicago, Illinois.
- The position follows a hybrid work model, requiring at least 3 days per week in the office. Tuesday and Wednesday are designated as anchor days for in-person collaboration.
- This is a paid, full-time internship for Summer 2027.
- Please note that this position is not eligible for visa sponsorship.
