About the role#
The Nichols Accounting Group P.C. is seeking a Tax Intern for the Winter 2027 term. This paid, on-site position in Nampa, Idaho, offers the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in public accounting by working alongside experienced professionals on real tax projects.
What you'll do#
- Prepare tax returns.
- Complete assigned work papers and projects.
- Apply knowledge of tax law and accounting principles.
- Support internal projects, client work, and firm advancement.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in or completion of a four-year accounting degree.
- Junior or senior standing with at least one completed tax course.
- Preference for candidates with 150 credit hours of accounting courses and a path toward CPA licensure.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, Outlook, and computer accounting software.
- Strong time management, organizational, and communication skills.
- Availability of at least 20 hours per week, with full-time availability preferred.
