About the role#
This internship offers hands-on experience in population health and wellness within a consulting environment. You will support the development of strategic health plans, client communications, and internal resources. You will also learn how health initiatives, data, and vendor relationships contribute to risk mitigation and cost containment for clients.
What you'll do#
- Assist in creating and executing population health strategies for MJ clientele.
- Collaborate on new ideas and improvements to population health initiatives.
- Develop wellness-focused communications and templates, such as newsletters and challenges.
- Coordinate and schedule wellness events like health fairs, biometric screenings, flu clinics, and lunch and learns.
- Research population health vendors and maintain the internal vendor database.
- Review vendor capabilities and assist in proposal development.
- Contribute to the development of internal wellness templates and resources.
- Support internal process improvements to enhance client deliverables.
What you'll need#
- Pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor degree in Public Health, Health Promotion, Exercise and Wellness, Nutrition, or a related field.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Strong problem-solving skills and adaptability.
- Commitment to delivering exceptional client service.
Location & details#
- Location: Phoenix, Arizona (On-site).
- Schedule: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week.
- Term: Summer 2026 (May to August).
- Status: Paid internship.
