About the role#
As a Corporate Engagement Intern, you will support our Direct Outreach Group by conducting research and developing resources to advance the alternative protein industry. This role offers an opportunity to gain experience in a nonprofit think tank while contributing to projects that help make plant-based, fermentation-derived, and cultivated meat more accessible.
What you'll do#
- Prospect and maintain records in our company database, including Salesforce and Airtable.
- Conduct targeted research on companies relevant to our strategic goals.
- Draft case studies on existing alternative protein activity and best-in-class examples.
- Compile background briefs, engagement summaries, and talking points for stakeholder meetings.
- Assemble materials into presentations and support the team with ad-hoc research tasks.
- Identify key employees at target organizations and track industry shifts.
What you'll need#
- Strong research and writing skills, with a focus on market and corporate analysis.
- Ability to use LinkedIn to identify and connect with key stakeholders.
- Excellent attention to detail and an analytical mindset.
- Experience or a strong interest in the food industry.
- Proficiency in Google Workspace and Microsoft PowerPoint.
- A commitment to our mission and values regarding the global food system.
- Experience with databases like Salesforce or Airtable is preferred.
Location & details#
- This is a remote position based in the United States.
- You must be based in the United States to be eligible for this role.
- This is a part-time, paid internship for 30 hours per week over a 12-week term.
