About the role#
The Technology Development Program Infrastructure & Cloud Engineering Summer Internship is a 12-week program designed to provide hands-on experience in a healthcare technology environment. You will work within the Infrastructure and Cloud Engineering track to help design, deploy, and support secure and scalable systems. The program includes a mix of project work, mentorship, and structured curriculum to support your professional growth.
What you'll do#
- Contribute to the design, deployment, and support of secure and scalable technology environments.
- Gain practical experience with cloud platforms, automation tools, and enterprise infrastructure.
- Engage with peers, mentors, and cross-functional partners through community-building activities and collaborative initiatives.
- Participate in structured learning through both core and track-specific curriculum, covering technical training and leadership development.
- Build professional relationships through networking events and mentorship.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a degree program for Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Cloud Computing, or Network and Systems Engineering.
- A GPA of 3.3 or higher.
- Foundational understanding of cloud computing concepts and familiarity with platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Proficiency in at least one programming or scripting language, such as Python, Java, JavaScript, Bash, or PowerShell.
- Experience with version control systems like Git.
- Knowledge of containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes and microservices architecture is preferred.
- Familiarity with agile methodologies and modern delivery practices like continuous integration and test-driven development.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Location & details#
- Location: Bloomfield, Connecticut.
- Term: Summer 2027, starting May 24th, 2027.
- Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday.
- Modality: Hybrid, with a minimum of three days per week onsite (Tuesday, Wednesday, and one additional day of your choice).
- Compensation: $25.00 to $33.00 per hour, depending on skills, education, and experience.
- Eligibility: This role is open to individuals who do not require visa sponsorship now or in the future.
