About the role#
This is a 10.5-week full-time internship running from May 24, 2027, to August 4, 2027. You will work within the Analytics & Behavior Change team to build data foundations that support machine learning, AI, and business analytics. You will collaborate with data scientists and engineers to ensure health care data is reliable and ready for use.
What you'll do#
- Build, test, and maintain data pipelines for extracting, transforming, and loading data.
- Integrate structured and unstructured data from various systems and sources.
- Implement checks to ensure data accuracy, completeness, and consistency.
- Develop and deploy data solutions within cloud environments.
- Contribute to projects aimed at improving health care quality, affordability, and outcomes.
- Participate in the Intern Innovation Challenge, Leadership Insight Series, and mentorship programs.
- Engage in professional development workshops and community service activities.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field with an expected graduation date between December 2027 and June 2028.
- Experience using Python to process, transform, and automate data workflows.
- Experience using SQL to query and analyze data.
- Exposure to cloud platforms such as GCP, AWS, or Azure.
- Knowledge of data warehousing and ETL concepts.
- Familiarity with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and Bash/UNIX scripting.
- Experience building cloud-based data engineering solutions, preferably in GCP.
- Ability to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
Location & details#
- Location: New York, NY.
- Modality: Hybrid, with three days per week in the office (typically Tuesday through Thursday).
- Compensation: $42.00 per hour for a 40-hour workweek.
- Benefits: Includes two days of paid leave and the July 4 holiday. Relocation assistance is available for those moving more than 50 miles.
