About the role#
This is a 10.5-week full-time internship running from May 24, 2027, to August 4, 2027. You will work within the Analytics & Behavior Change team to build data foundations for machine learning and AI initiatives. The role is hybrid, requiring you to be in the New York office three days per week (Tuesday through Thursday).
What you'll do#
- Build, test, and maintain data pipelines for extraction, transformation, and loading.
- Integrate structured and unstructured data from various systems and sources.
- Implement checks to ensure data is accurate, complete, and consistent.
- Develop and deploy data solutions within cloud environments.
- Contribute to projects that improve health care quality, affordability, and outcomes.
- Engage in professional development through the Leadership Insight Series, mentorship, and the Intern Innovation Challenge.
- Interact with senior leaders and participate in community service activities.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Master's degree program in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Data Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field, with graduation expected between December 2027 and June 2028.
- Experience using Python for data processing, transformation, and workflow automation.
- Proficiency in SQL for querying and data analysis.
- Exposure to cloud platforms such as GCP, AWS, or Azure.
- Knowledge of data warehousing and ETL concepts, including data pipelines.
- Familiarity with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and Bash or UNIX scripting.
- Ability to integrate data from APIs and disparate sources.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to explain technical concepts to diverse audiences.
Location & details#
- Location: New York, NY.
- Work Modality: Hybrid (three days in-office per week).
- Compensation: $51.60 per hour.
- Status: Full-time.
