About the role#
The Technology Development Program Cybersecurity Track is a 12-week summer internship. You will work within technical and investigative teams to protect health data and infrastructure. This program includes a structured curriculum covering technical training and leadership development. You will engage with peers and mentors through collaborative projects and networking events.
What you'll do#
- Contribute to threat detection, incident response, vulnerability management, and risk mitigation.
- Analyze suspicious activity within a Security Operations Center.
- Conduct forensic investigations.
- Engineer secure systems.
- Participate in core and track-specific learning modules.
- Build professional relationships through cross-functional collaboration.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a degree program for Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- A GPA of 3.3 or higher is preferred.
- Basic understanding of cybersecurity concepts including network security, threat analysis, and risk management.
- Familiarity with firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and endpoint protection solutions.
- Proficiency in Python, Java, or JavaScript.
- Experience with tools such as Wireshark, Nmap, Metasploit, Splunk, the ELK Stack, and antivirus software like McAfee or Symantec.
- Exposure to Windows and Linux security configurations.
- Understanding of agile methodologies.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Location & details#
- Locations: Bloomfield, Connecticut and St. Louis, Missouri.
- Modality: Hybrid, with at least three days per week onsite.
- Term: Summer 2027, beginning May 24th, 2027.
- Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday.
- Compensation: $25.00 to $33.00 per hour, depending on skills and location.
- Eligibility: This role is open only to candidates who do not require visa sponsorship.
