About the role#
As a Product Management Intern at FamilySearch, you will join a product team focused on one of the world's largest genealogy platforms. You will work alongside an experienced Product Manager, a designer, and engineers to solve real product problems. This role is designed to provide hands-on experience by applying educational principles to actual work settings. You will contribute to products used by millions, including the Family Tree and digital imaging systems that preserve historical records. This is a full-time, four-month position.
What you'll do#
You will own a meaningful project rather than completing busywork. Your responsibilities include conducting user research, defining success metrics, making prioritization decisions, and shipping features. You will collaborate with your team to help people connect with their ancestors and preserve family history. You are expected to meet deadlines, work in harmony with others, and pay close attention to detail. You will also apply sound judgment regarding Church doctrine, history, and policy.
What you'll need#
You must be currently enrolled in school or have been enrolled within the past 12 months. Previous product management experience is preferred. This position requires you to be a member of the Church who is worthy of a temple recommend.
Location & details#
This is a full-time, paid internship. The role follows a hybrid schedule with one day per week in the Lehi, Utah office and four days working from home. If you live outside the Wasatch Front, fully remote work may be negotiated.
