About the role#
The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is seeking Database Engineer interns to support database platforms including Microsoft SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Oracle, MySQL, and NoSQL. You will work alongside senior mentors to gain experience with systems that serve users at Church headquarters and globally. This is a full-time, 40-hour per week internship lasting approximately 4 months.
What you'll do#
- Administer on-premises and cloud database environments.
- Migrate databases from on-premises to cloud solutions.
- Monitor system processes and provide recommendations to improve accuracy and efficiency.
- Compile implementation and data reports.
- Craft management reports to communicate project status.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in or recent graduation from an accredited college or university, with a start date within one year of graduation.
- Academic background in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Data Science.
- An aptitude for learning database systems.
- Strong business presentation skills and the ability to explain technical concepts clearly.
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with management.
- A technology background is preferred.
- Membership in the Church and worthiness to hold a temple recommend is required for employment.

- Modality: On-site, remote, and hybrid options are available.
- Terms: Winter 2027 and Summer 2027.
