About the role#
The Sales and Management Intern position focuses on creating an enjoyable shopping experience for our guests. You will work closely with the Store Manager to learn how our retail business operates and what it takes to succeed in management. This is a hands-on role where you will perform sales, merchandising, and operational tasks while developing your leadership skills.
What you'll do#
- Greet guests with a friendly, engaging attitude.
- Achieve personal sales-per-hour and total net sales goals.
- Maintain and share knowledge of current sales, promotions, and store policies.
- Complete the Sales Presentation Guide daily to track your progress.
- Provide feedback to the Store Manager and leadership team regarding merchandise handling.
- Manage a specific product category by setting goals, educating teammates, and tracking results.
- Complete orientation and leadership modules from the management manual.
- Provide weekly reports and progress updates to area and district management.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or Communications.
- An interest in a long-term commitment with Buckle.
- No prior experience or training is required.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including mornings, evenings, and weekends.
- Knowledge of exchange and return procedures.
- Physical ability to lift and maneuver up to 50 lbs.

- This is a paid, on-site, full-time internship.
