About the role#
This is a 10-week summer internship program based in Tampa, Florida. You will join our claims department for a rotational experience designed to provide hands-on exposure to the insurance industry. The program includes rotations through department leadership, operations, training, and Quality Improvement. You will also interact with senior leadership and participate in mentorship opportunities.
What you'll do#
- Support the First Notice of Loss (FNOL) intake process and gain insight into how we evaluate coverage.
- Assist with system updates, integrations, and implementation projects.
- Build and develop new reports to support our data and analytics initiatives.
- Create new processes and tools to help drive operational efficiency.
- Review claim forms, policies, and endorsements to understand coverage determinations.
- Complete assigned special projects as directed by management.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a college program with a focus on risk management or a related field.
- Majors considered include Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Accounting, Communications, Political Science, Psychology, or Human Resources.
- A clear interest in the risk management and insurance industry.
- Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work well within a team and handle tasks independently.
