About the role#
The Adamah on Campus LA Intern will support the growth and coordination of Jewish environmental programming across Los Angeles campuses. This part-time role involves working closely with the Adamah on Campus California Coordinator to manage logistics, student outreach, and program development. The position is ideal for individuals interested in the intersection of Jewish life and environmental action.
What you'll do#
- Attend weekly check-ins with your supervisor and participate in relevant Adamah LA Hub meetings.
- Provide guidance and support to students applying for mini-grants for initiatives such as Eco-Shabbat dinners, zero-waste workshops, and climate-justice events.
- Lead outreach and promotion efforts for Eco Shabbat in a Box and Tu B’Shvat in a Box programs in the Southern California region.
- Assist with the logistics for the Immersive Day Retreat, including travel coordination, guest speaker communication, and schedule planning.
- Serve as a facilitator and peer leader during the Immersive Day Retreat.
- Liaise with student leaders to assess program needs and coordinate project plans.
- Assist with recruitment and engagement efforts to support the five active LA Adamah Campus Chapters.
What you'll need#
- Strong background in Jewish student or communal engagement.
- Experience in data tracking and analysis, including comfort with the Microsoft suite.
- Familiarity with environmental language and initiatives.
- Strong organizational, project management, and time management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to adapt to changing situations and comfort working in a virtual environment.
- Majors in Environmental Engineering, Business Administration, Psychology, or Communications are preferred.
Location & details#
- Location: Los Angeles, California (Hybrid).
- Term: Fall 2026 (September 1, 2026, to December 15, 2026).
- Commitment: Part-time, 5 to 8 hours per week.
- Compensation: $2,000 stipend paid in two installments.
