About the role#
As a Production Control Intern, you will work on-site in Augusta, Georgia, during the summer of 2027. This is a full-time, paid position that provides hands-on experience in aviation and aerospace component manufacturing. You will work alongside experienced professionals on projects that support manufacturing goals and production schedules.
What you'll do#
- Assist with material planning, issue purchase orders, and verify delivery dates.
- Manage inventory levels and reorder points based on manufacturing schedules.
- Analyze material demand and part shortages to determine impacts on capacity.
- Create stockroom pick lists, order tools, and stage orders.
- Help supervisors with rejected material disposition, bottleneck analysis, and tool functionality issues.
- Maintain data records in planning systems and establish production schedules for your assigned work area.
- Perform system data analysis, maintenance, and clean-up.
- Develop procedures and complete problem analysis for new process implementation and improvements.
- Prepare reports and communications as requested.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a bachelor’s degree program for Supply Chain Management or a related field.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Knowledge of SAP software.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- The ability to organize priorities and manage your time effectively.
