About the role#
This is a full-time, paid 10-week summer internship for the summer of 2027. You will work on-site in Augusta, Georgia, gaining hands-on experience by supporting manufacturing operations and supply chain processes. You will work alongside professionals on real projects to build your skills.
What you'll do#
- Assist with material planning, including issuing purchase orders, expediting orders, and verifying delivery dates.
- Manage inventory levels and reorder points based on manufacturing schedules.
- Analyze material demand and part shortage lists to determine impacts on capacity.
- Implement new processes and improve existing ones by developing procedures and performing problem analysis.
- Stage orders, create stockroom pick lists, and schedule materials.
- Maintain data records in company planning systems and establish production schedules for your assigned work area.
- Assist supervisors with rejected material disposition, bottleneck analysis, and tool functionality issues.
- Perform system data analysis, maintenance, and clean-up.
- Prepare reports and communications as requested.
What you'll need#
- Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in supply chain management or a related field.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Experience with SAP.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to manage your time and organize priorities effectively.
