About the role#
We are looking for a Software Engineering Intern to build full-stack applications for our Recruiting organization. You will work directly with users to identify needs, design practical solutions, and manage the software lifecycle from initial code to production. This role involves taking ownership of your projects, measuring their impact, and iterating based on real-world feedback.
What you'll do#
- Scope, design, and build software to solve ambiguous problems.
- Own web experiences end-to-end, including architecture, coding, and ongoing maintenance.
- Talk to users to prioritize tasks based on impact and feasibility.
- Set the technical direction for your specific area.
- Improve system performance, stability, and maintainability to handle real-world load.
- Monitor your launches and iterate quickly on new versions.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- Ability to work full-time and onsite for at least 12 weeks during the summer.
- Experience with a backend language, preferably Python or Go.
- Experience with JavaScript or TypeScript and a frontend framework like React, Vue, or Svelte.
- Strong grasp of fundamental computer science concepts and common design patterns.
- Ability to solve complex technical problems.
- High standards for code quality and maintainability.
- Experience creating and shipping web applications is preferred.

- Location: Palo Alto, California.
- Term: Summer 2027 (starting May or June).
- Modality: Full-time, onsite.
- Compensation: $37.00 - $55.00 per hour plus benefits.
