About the role#
The Body Controls Validation team tests the firmware and control systems for vehicle features like powered doors, windows, wipers, and lighting. You will work on validating embedded software for our vehicle platforms, focusing on user interactions and safety. This role involves building test infrastructure and ensuring the reliability of software releases.
What you'll do#
- Design automated test cases for software and hardware in the loop fixtures.
- Collaborate with software, hardware, and integration engineering teams.
- Help design new test fixtures.
- Run and maintain regression tests to sign off on vehicle software releases.
- Build and maintain infrastructure to automate test execution, data collection, and analysis.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a degree program for Mechatronics, Electrical, Computer, or Systems Engineering.
- Graduation date between May 2027 and May 2028.
- Fluency in Python.
- Experience writing reusable, clean, and maintainable code.
- Ability to develop tests based on technical specifications.
- Proficiency in reading electrical schematics.
- Experience with lab equipment such as power supplies, electronic loads, oscilloscopes, and digital multimeters.
- Ability to explain complex technical concepts to team members.

- Location: Palo Alto, California.
- Term: Winter 2027 through Spring 2027.
- Modality: Full-time, on-site (40 hours per week).
- Compensation: $42.07 - $58.89 per hour plus benefits.
