About the role#
This internship focuses on market intelligence and customer research within the Sales and Customer Support department. You will support strategic decision-making by gathering and interpreting data on competitors, industry trends, and customer behaviors. The role requires balancing strategic business thinking with hands-on technical execution to inform product development and business growth.
What you'll do#
- Design and deploy custom AI agents powered by LLMs to gather, process, and synthesize competitive intelligence.
- Act as a technical product owner by mapping stakeholder workflows, identifying bottlenecks, and building personalized tools based on feedback.
- Monitor emerging AI frameworks and automation technologies to prototype new use cases.
- Use programmatic methods to process qualitative and quantitative customer research to refine ideal customer profiles.
- Analyze CRM data, market sizing, and customer behaviors using tools like Excel and Tableau.
- Deliver presentations and dashboards to leadership that articulate strategic recommendations and demonstrate the ROI of technical solutions.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a master's degree in STEM or an equivalent graduate program.
- Experience creating, prompting, or working with AI agents and LLMs via APIs.
- Junior software development skills with proficiency in Python or JavaScript.
- Familiarity with building custom internal tools or workflow automations.
- Proficiency in data analysis and visualization tools such as Excel, Tableau, or Power BI.
- Experience using code to manipulate data.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- A builder's mentality with strong organizational skills.
Location & details#
- Location: Palo Alto, California.
- Term: Winter 2027 and Summer 2027.
- Commitment: Full-time (40 hours per week) on-site for a minimum of 12 weeks.
- Eligibility: This program is for students actively enrolled in an academic program.
