About the role#
As a Service Technician Trainee intern, you will work within our Vehicle Service department. You will gain hands-on experience by servicing customer vehicles and completing tasks directly at the service center. This role involves customer interaction, so clear communication is important. You will learn about electric vehicles and our technologies while building your technical skills.
What you'll do#
- Perform entry-level inspection, repair, and service on electric vehicles.
- Use a variety of hand, power, and shop tools.
- Complete equipment inspections, adjustments, and certifications.
- Conduct Pre-Delivery Inspections on new cars.
- Maintain accurate records of time, shop supplies, parts, and inventory.
- Help keep customer vehicles clean.
- Support Parts and Front of House operations on a rotational basis as needed.
What you'll need#
- Knowledge of vehicle maintenance and repair techniques.
- Current enrollment in an Automotive program is preferred.
- A valid driver license.
- Ability to lift up to 60 pounds.
- Basic computer skills, including web browsing and Microsoft Office applications.
- A safety-first attitude and the ability to work well in a team.
- Familiarity with the English language.
- Ability to report to the local service center or training location.
