About the role#
As a Service Technician Trainee intern, you will work at our service center to gain hands-on experience with electric vehicles. You will assist with vehicle service and repair while learning about our technology. This role requires working in a team environment and interacting with customers, so clear communication is important.
What you'll do#
- Perform entry-level inspection, repair, and service on electric vehicles.
- Use a variety of hand, power, and shop tools.
- Complete equipment inspections, adjustments, and certifications.
- Conduct Pre-Delivery Inspections (PDI) for new cars.
- Manage inventory, track time, and handle shop supplies and parts.
- Assist with vehicle cleanliness for customer cars.
- Support Parts and Front of House operations on a rotational basis as needed.
What you'll need#
- Knowledge of vehicle maintenance and repair methods.
- Current enrollment in an Automotive program is preferred.
- A valid driver license.
- The ability to lift up to 60 pounds.
- Basic computer skills, including web browsers and Microsoft Office programs like Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- A safety-first attitude and the ability to work well within a team.
- Familiarity with the English language.
- Reliability in reporting to the training location or local service center.
