About the role#
As an Instructional Design Intern, you will create training content for the Collision Repair teams. You will plan, execute, and evaluate projects while ensuring the success of training curriculum. Collaboration with subject matter experts and training managers is key to identifying needs and designing solutions. You will also manage and support course evaluations within your scope.
What you'll do#
- Design and develop instructor-led and eLearning courses that align with project plans, adult learning theories, and style guides.
- Ensure training content is clear, grammatically correct, and meets customer expectations.
- Capture requirements, build designs, develop content, and evaluate outcomes.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts and stakeholders to scope curricula requirements.
- Work with e-learning developers and multimedia specialists to publish interactive courses.
- Support the technical and operational needs of the Collision department by building new OLT, vILT, and ILT content.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a degree in Instructional Design, Adult Learning, Psychology, or a related field.
- A portfolio is required.
- Strong understanding of adult learning theory, including the ADDIE model, Bloom’s Taxonomy, and learning styles.
- Proficiency in Adobe Suite and Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced skills in PowerPoint and SharePoint.
- Experience with learning management systems and platforms like Articulate Storyline and Rise is preferred.
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills for delivering complex technical training.
- Strong time management, organizational, project planning, and feedback skills.
Location & details#
- Location: Fremont, California.
- This is a full-time, on-site internship.
- The program runs during the Winter/Spring 2027 term, with potential to continue through Summer 2027.
- A minimum commitment of 12 weeks at 40 hours per week is required.
- This position is for students actively enrolled in an academic program.
