About the role#
This internship offers the opportunity to own hardware development from start to finish. You will work on electronic systems, including specification, architecture, design, simulation, and schematic creation. You will also oversee PCB layout, manufacturing, and board bringup and validation.
What you'll do#
- Design electrical architecture, electronic circuits, and handle processor selection and integration.
- Manage system timing and bus loading.
- Collaborate across teams including firmware, mechanical, PCB layout, program management, and validation.
- Document design requirements, calculations, and validation results.
- Iterate on designs as vehicle features and requirements change.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field.
- Experience with analog and digital circuit design, PCBA, and PCB component selection.
- Familiarity with serial communication protocols such as CAN, Ethernet, SPI, and I2C.
- Proficiency in MATLAB, Python, or C/C++ for modeling and analysis.
- Experience using lab equipment like oscilloscopes, multimeters, and function generators.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.

- Terms: Winter 2027 and Summer 2027.
