About the role#
Security Intelligence Analysts work to protect Tesla's intellectual property, trade secrets, and confidential information. This internship involves supporting both proactive and reactive risk management projects. You will help address internal and external threats while contributing to the security of company programs.
What you'll do#
- Support programs designed to reduce the risk of intellectual property loss.
- Conduct open-source intelligence (OSINT) research by collecting, analyzing, and sharing data from various sources.
- Assist with sensitive investigations regarding data loss, technology misuse, and conflicts of interest.
- Perform limited technical signal reviews.
- Support training efforts that emphasize information security and protection best practices.
- Help review candidates for high-impact roles within the company.
- Analyze data from multiple sources to solve complex problems and provide strategic recommendations to leadership.
- Identify security trends and potential threats to personnel and facilities.
What you'll need#
- Final year student pursuing a degree in international relations, political science, or humanities-related studies.
- Proficiency in open-source research.
- Ability to work on-site in Austin, TX or Palo Alto, CA.
- Comfort with ambiguity and shifting corporate priorities.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to balance academic requirements with internship responsibilities.
- High level of integrity, honesty, and the ability to handle sensitive confidential information.
- Resourcefulness, curiosity, and an analytical approach to problem-solving.
Location & details#
- Locations: Austin, TX or Palo Alto, CA.
- Modality: On-site, 40 hours per week.
- Term: Winter 2027 through Spring 2027 (minimum 12 weeks).
- Status: Paid, full-time internship for students actively enrolled in an academic program.
