About the role#
This is a part-time internship with the Manufacturing Engineering team at Terex Utilities. You will gain experience in manufacturing processes, problem solving, and lean production. This role requires hands-on work in the factory, where you may encounter temperature variations and dusty environments.
What you'll do#
- Support the Manufacturing Engineering and Training departments by documenting processes for operator training.
- Develop Standard Operating Procedures for production.
- Prepare and justify capital spend projects.
- Perform plant and equipment layouts.
- Gather and analyze data to support production systems.
- Conduct process time studies.
- Recommend and implement process improvements.
What you'll need#
- Working towards a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Electrical, Chemical, or Civil Engineering.
- Completion of at least your 3rd year of studies.
- Experience with CAD or Pro-E software.
- Some familiarity with manufacturing processes.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools.
- Strong communication and analytical skills.
