About the role#
Terex Corporation is hiring a Shop Services Intern to join our Utilities Services team. This is a paid, full-time, on-site internship focused on the service and repair of truck-mounted mobile hydraulic equipment. This role is offered on a rolling basis and requires a commitment of 40 hours per week for 6 months.
What you'll do#
- Perform preventative maintenance and inspections on heavy equipment.
- Work directly with electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems.
- Learn and apply diagnostic and troubleshooting techniques.
- Use internal services software and other computer programs to track work.
What you'll need#
- You must be at least 18 years of age.
- A High School degree or GED is required.
- You should have entry-level experience or be a recent graduate from a technical school with training in troubleshooting, service, and repair of truck-mounted hydraulic equipment.
- You must provide your own tool box equipped with basic tools.
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
- Strong shop math skills and mechanical aptitude.
- A positive, safety-centered mindset.
- Current students pursuing degrees in Mechanical, Industrial, or Electrical Engineering are encouraged to apply.
