About the role#
Terex Corporation is seeking a Shop Services Intern to join the Utilities Services team. This hands-on, paid internship provides experience in the service and repair of mobile hydraulic equipment. This is a full-time, on-site position requiring a 40-hour work week commitment for a duration of 6 months.
What you'll do#
- Work with electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems within truck-mounted mobile equipment.
- Perform preventative maintenance and inspections on heavy equipment.
- Learn and apply diagnostic and troubleshooting techniques.
- Utilize services software and related computer programs to document work.
What you'll need#
- Must be 18 years of age or older with a High School degree or GED.
- Entry-level experience or recent graduation from a technical school with a focus on troubleshooting, servicing, and repairing truck-mounted hydraulic equipment.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and shop math skills.
- A positive, safety-centered mindset.
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
- A personal tool box equipped with basic tools.
- Currently pursuing studies in Mechanical, Industrial, or Electrical Engineering.

- Compensation: $18–$24 per hour, based on factors such as location, education, and experience.
