About the role#
As a Design Engineer Intern at Terex Corporation, you will join our Engineering Team to support daily production needs. This role focuses on problem resolution and value improvements in a lean manufacturing environment. You will gain hands-on experience by working on real projects that contribute to our business goals.
What you'll do#
- Collaborate with the engineering team on daily production tasks and process improvements.
- Conduct basic analysis and testing to verify product functionality, strength, and safety.
- Create design sketches and drawings for prototype parts and assemblies.
- Develop detailed engineering documentation for process or product improvement projects.
- Research components and communicate with suppliers.
- Use SolidWorks, Microsoft Office, and other engineering software to complete assignments.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related degree program.
- Proficiency in CAD and SolidWorks.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Experience with MS Excel and PowerPoint is preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- A commitment to safety, quality, and lean manufacturing principles.
- Ability to analyze problems and develop practical, hands-on solutions.
- Ability to work effectively within a team environment.
