About the role#
We are looking for an IT Service Desk Intern to support our Corporate IT team. You will provide Tier 1 technical support to employees and help with daily service desk operations. This is a customer-facing role, so you should be approachable, patient, and comfortable working with people who have varying levels of technical knowledge.
What you'll do#
- Triage incoming support requests, resolve common technical issues, and escalate complex problems.
- Monitor service desk tickets and troubleshoot hardware, software, account, access, and connectivity issues.
- Assist with employee onboarding and offboarding.
- Support endpoint and asset management tasks.
- Maintain IT documentation and knowledge base articles.
- Help address the existing backlog of support tickets and operational projects.
- Assist with inventory management, device preparation, deployment, account administration, software installation, and access reviews.
What you'll need#
- Strong customer service skills, empathy, patience, and professionalism.
- Clear written and verbal communication, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn.
- Ability to listen carefully, understand employee issues, and communicate clearly.
- Prior IT experience is helpful but not required.
- Basic familiarity with computer hardware, operating systems, networking, Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, or ticketing systems is preferred.
